Free attribution scan
Can you prove which marketing works?
Enter your website. In about 10 seconds you get a plain-English read on whether your marketing can be traced to leads. Free, and no email needed.
Free. No email needed. I save the website address you scan and its results. See the privacy policy.
Scaile built this scan to answer one question: when a lead comes in, can you tell which marketing produced it? Most companies I talk to can't. They have traffic numbers and they have revenue numbers, and nothing that connects the two. The scan reads your site the way an outsider can and shows where that connection breaks.
What the scan checks
- Whether visits are measured. It looks for an analytics tool, a tag manager, and leftover tags that stopped working years ago.
- Whether campaign tags survive. It opens your homepage with test campaign tags (UTMs) and checks that a redirect doesn't strip them. It also looks for campaign tags on links between your own pages, which overwrite where a visitor really came from.
- Whether leads record their source. It reads your forms for a hidden source field, and looks for call tracking, a booking link and a CRM.
- Whether ad platforms can see results. It looks for the tags that Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads and others need.
- Whether your site answers quickly. It times your server's first response and counts the scripts that hold up the page.
- Whether your follow-up email lands. It checks the public records (SPF and DMARC) that inboxes use to decide if your email is real.
- Whether search engines and AI assistants can read you. Title, structured data, sitemap, and whether your site blocks AI crawlers.
What it can't see
The scan reads your page source from outside. It doesn't run your scripts, log in, or look inside your analytics or CRM. So a result says "not detected", never "missing". A tag that loads in an unusual way can be there without my seeing it.
The part no scan can check: whether a lead's source ever reaches the revenue report. That's the question I work on as a fractional CMO, and it's what the free call is for.
What to do with the results
Fix the red items first. They are the ones where data is being lost today. The yellow items are worth a look and may be fine. If you'd like a second opinion, book a call and bring the report. I'll tell you which gaps matter for your business and which don't. If you want the longer view of what I do, read what a fractional CMO is.
Frequently asked questions
Is the attribution scan really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no email gate. You see the full report on the page. I save the website address and the results so I can see which kinds of companies use it.
Does the scan change anything on my site?
No. It reads your homepage, one contact page, your robots.txt and sitemap, and your public DNS records. It reads each once, the way any visitor's browser would, and it submits nothing.
What is a UTM, and why does it matter?
A UTM is a tag added to a link, like utm_source=linkedin, that tells your analytics where a visitor came from. If your site drops those tags, or your forms don't save them, the visit is recorded but the lead isn't tied to the campaign that produced it.
Why does a result say "not detected" when I know the tool is installed?
Some tools load only after scripts run or after a visitor accepts cookies. The scan can't see those from outside. Treat "not detected" as a prompt to confirm, not as proof it's absent.
Can I scan a competitor's site, or a client's?
Yes. It reads only public pages and public records. After a scan, use "Copy link to this report" to share the result.
